Chef de Cuisine

My photo
amuse*bouche
New York, New York, United States
I grew up in a home that was structured around the dining room table. At each meal, we would discuss where and what we would enjoy as our next meal. Dinner was the foundation of what I believe to be our success as a family. We cooked together, sat down together nightly, and cherished those times to learn more about one another and just laugh. From a young age, I entered Pillsbury bake-offs with my mom, and competed with my dishes in 4-H, as well. I remember family vacations by the meals we had, because it was at the dinner table that we grew as a family and laughed the most. I have been published in Better Homes & Gardens, as well as some Midwestern publications. I am also a free lance food writer for Why Leave Astoria? and a staff writer for BORO Magazine. It is my hope, as my blog continues, to publish a collection of essays about my incredible, hilarious, and poignant journey from a farm town in Indiana to the capital of the universe, New York City.
